GA Release - December 2018

The list below represents the features, updates, and fixes included in the Orbita Voice GA Release for December 2018.

Orbita Prototype

Orbita Prototype is a new module from Orbita that facilitates a rapid early-stage conversational design. Prototyping is one of the most important steps in the conversational user experience design process. It can help project teams to rapidly ideate and iterate different possibilities, identify areas of friction, and reveal areas that need improvement. Orbita Prototype facilitates prototyping by allowing Experience Managers to design conversational dialogs quickly, hear the simulated experiences, and share with the team for review & feedback.

For more information on using the Orbita Prototype, see https://orbita.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OCS/pages/7110910.

Taxonomy

Taxonomy now automatically generates slot values. Previously, users needed to update the interaction model (intents, slots, and utterances) to support the topics found in the taxonomy. For example, if you had a taxonomy that organized first aid topics (I.e. “sun burn”, “snake bite”, etc), the interaction model would need to be updated to include those topics (as utterances or slot values). Orbita Voice now updates the interaction model for you dynamically.

General Improvements

There are many other improvements to Orbita Voice. Some of the noteworthy improvements to Experience Manager include the ability for managers to:

  • Extend Built-in intents with custom utterances

  • Include synonyms when importing or exporting slot values

  • Copy and paste multi-modal content

  • Rename slots and have the changes automatically refactored inflows.

Additionally, improvements to Experience Designer include the ability for developers to:

  • Import & export all flows for a specific project (see: How do I import/export flows?)

  • Choose to restore flows from a previous version during import

  • Enable & disable flows

  • Configure node settings.
