Answers vNext Beta

The Answers vNext beta is a new interface that allows you to create and manage your Knowledgebases and the corresponding questions with ease. Introduced in v4.0.90, Answers vNext beta has a renewed, enriched, and fresh user experience, designed to help you focus on what is relevant. The following improvements were introduced into 4.0.92:

  • In the Q&A detail page, the placeholder text on the search bar is changed from Search to Search for Primary Question

  • Deleting an Answers vNext knowledge base will remove all the associated data such as Questions, Intents, Lists, Labels, and Answers (multimodal data).

  • You can now export a knowledge base from Answers vNext and import it into a new Answers vNext knowledge base. Refer to https://orbita.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OCS/pages/2030698548 for more information.

  • In Answers vNext > Q&A detail page. Previously, after deleting the KB, when you enter the same question from the deleted KB into the question variation field of another KB, an error "Duplicate message" is displayed. This is now fixed.

  • In Answers vNext > Advanced Tab. Previously, after you upload the file, the "Upload" button is disabled. Now, after you upload the file the ‘Upload’ button will be enabled.

  • In Answers vNext > KB Listing Screen > Answers tool tip, clicking on Show missing Answers will navigate you to the Answers listing Page.
    Previously, when you navigate back to the KB Listing Screen, the sort functionality is not working as expected. Now, when you navigate back to the KB Listing Screen, the system remembers the previous sorting.

  • Previously in Answers vNext > Organize tab, the search functionality is not working as expected. Now it is fixed.

  • In Answers vNext > Organize tab, the nested child questions will have an organize icon on the build tab as shown on the screenshot below.

  • Previously, in Answers vNext > Advanced Tab, when you upload a .csv file with wrong format, a new KB is created. Now, when you upload a .csv file with wrong format, the system will display “504 error”.

  • Previously, in Answers vNext, even when all the Questions and Answers are filled, after reorganizing the questions under Organize Tab, the Answers icon on the Build tab shows 0 answers entered. Now, the Answers icon will reflect the number of Answers that corresponds to the changes done on the Organize tab.

  • Previously, in Answers vNext, the system failed to import a .csv file that contains guid. Now, while importing, if the guid is present, the system will update the contents of the corresponding questions and if the guid is not present, the system will create a new primary question.

  • Previously, in Answers vNext > Advanced Tab, the search functionality is not working as expected. Now, this is fixed.

  • In Answers vNext > Build tab, Previously, when the filter is opened, the pagination is reset. Now, the pagination will reflect the page, you are in, before opening the filter.

  • Previously, in Answers vNext > Advanced tab > Settings, Enable Feedback toggle button and the Alexa and Google checkboxes are always turned on while navigating through the KB > vertical ellipses button > Advance Settings. Now, the systems remembers all the Settings options irrespective of how you navigate to the page.

Chatbot v3

  • Introducing Chatbot V3, an extension to the existing chatbot with explicit control to almost all the elements of the chatbot so that you can design the chatbot interface (chatbot user and chatbot admin).   • As a chatbot user, you can now minimize the docked view chatbot in any mobile device.
    The minimize button is on the top right corner of the chatbot as shown in the screenshot below.

Patch fixes

  • Build 1637016109 :

    • Previously, in mobile phones with the iOS operating system, the Card Detailed View in the chatbot is misaligned. Now, it is fixed.

    • Previously, when you open and close the detailed view of the card list, carousel, and bootstrap carousel directives in the chatbot, the keyboard input field goes missing. Now, this is fixed.

    • Previously, the Experience Designer users are unable to upload images to Orbita. This is now fixed.

    • Previously, when the search node is connected with the Link-out node, the system throws the error message “TypeError: Cannot set property 'flags' of undefined“. Now, this is fixed.

    • Previously, when the enableArrayResponse is set to true, the adaptive cards directive is not in order while using chatbot v3. This is now fixed.

    • Previously, the admin users are unable to set/change the passwords of the other users on the user detail page. This is now fixed.
