Outreach Blueprints

What is an Outreach Blueprint?

Outreach Blueprints provide organizations and internal resources with the ability to create and manage the blueprints offered when creating an Outreach Campaign.

The blueprints will control the elements/fields that are displayed within the UX of Outreach Manager under the content of each channel type. These blueprints will allow for flexibility in configuration while also introducing reusability to the platform.

  • In the Outreach section, choose Blueprints.

  • If this is the first Blueprint of the Project, we will be landed on the Outreach Blueprints screen with a default Outreach Blueprint named “Standard Channels“. Or if some Blueprints have been created already, the landing page will have all existing Blueprints in the List view.

List View

The Standard Channels Blueprint can be deleted if needed.

3 Dot Menu

In the List View, we can make use of the 3 dot menu to Edit, Duplicate, Delete, Copy Blueprint Id, and Activate the Blueprint. To use the 3 dot menu, hover over the 3 dot menu to view the options.

The available options in the 3 dot menu will differ based on the status of the Blueprint item.

Edit

The Edit option from the 3 dot menu will take you into the Outreach Blueprints Details screen where we can modify the configuration of the outreach blueprint, for example, the title, description, channels, and additional fields.

Duplicate

The Duplicate option duplicates the Outreach blueprint with a Number suffix added to the Name of the new Outreach Blueprint

Delete

The Delete option would delete the Outreach blueprint after the user confirms the action through a call to action

Copy Blueprint ID

The Copy Blueprint ID option helps in copying the auto-generated Outreach blueprint ID easily to the clipboard.

Activate

The Activate option will update the Status of the Blueprint from Not Live to Live and will enable the Outreach campaign to be launched at a later stage. You will be able to choose blueprints that are live or not live when creating a campaign in Outreach Manager. If the blueprint being used for a campaign is not Live, the Outreach campaign will not be able to be launched until it has been activated.

What Channels should be configured for this blueprint?

The channels chosen here will be available in the Outreach Manager if added as part of the blueprint. Pre-defined fields have been added to each of these channel options to reduce the need for writing code. Each channel can be configured using a separate tab in the Outreach Manager.

Outreach Properties Editor

This section is only required if we need to extend the fields beyond what has been pre-defined. This is a JSON editor. Javascript knowledge would be required to use this field. For more details please refer to Outreach Properties Editor

Once the Blueprint is saved, choose “Activate“ from the 3 dot menu to update the status of the Blueprint Live.
