Care Central 2.12
New and Updated Capabilities:
Patient Experience - Validation for Date Fields
Enhanced data integrity with input validation now added to all date fields. If an invalid date is added into a date field the person will be informed to enter a valid date.Send Care Guide Link to Patients
The Care Guide link can now be sent simultaneously via SMS and Email when triggered within Care Central.Patient Journey Management Enhancements
In addition to the existing options to Cancel a Journey or put it on Hold, administrators now have the ability to Close a Journey. This allows an administrator to close a journey after a consultation if the patient has decided not to proceed with a procedure. With now both “Close a Journey” and “Cancel a Journey” administrators will be able to differentiate on patients who have decided not to proceed based on the conclusion of an event within the journey, vs patients who stopped engaging and responding as part of the journey.Automated Insurance Verification & Prior Authorization
Administrators can now run automated checks for insurance verification and prior authorization for patients managed within Care Central.Automated Insurance Verification checks:
Patient’s insurance status (active and billable)
Any applicable coinsurance or copay amounts
Patient’s deductible status and usage
Patient’s maximum out-of-pocket limits and usage
Automated Prior Authorization Required verifies if a patient’s plan necessitates prior authorization for specific CPT codes/services.
The automated submission will provide a result within 3-5 seconds
Addition of a Primary Care Provider field on the patient record.
Administrators now have the ability to enter the patient’s PCP name for reference as part of the patient’s journey.
Orbita Digital Front Door 4.3
New and Updated Capabilities:
GenAI Question & Answers Module
The GenAI Module has been enhanced with several new features:
Ability to scan websites, PDFs, and Excel documents to create a content index for answering patient questions.
Patients can inquire within Orbita’s Chat Assistant, which utilizes the GenAI module to provide answers based on a pre-configured index.
Updates to the GenAI Module include:
Content Indexing
Enhanced indexing service for improved content retrieval.
Multi-lingual support
Enabling responses in the patient’s native language.
Suggested Content
Feature for offering related questions and answers as part of a question response.
Prompt Management
Administrators to define response guidelines, such as reading level and character count.
Contextual Chat History
GPT remembers prior question asked
VectorDB will correctly fetch relevant documents when asked ambiguous questions like “who is she?”
New GPT Models that are supported
GPT-4o and 4-Turbo available in 4.3.0. GPT-4o Mini available in 4.3.1
New Embedding Model
The embedding model was updated to OpenAI’s newest embedding model
Streaming enhancements
Substantially faster streaming & customizable streaming speed
Text Formatting
Markdown Support: GPT can now form bullet point lists, numbered lists, make text bold or italicized, and include headers
Auto Hyperlinking: URLs, email addresses and phone numbers are automatically hyperlinked
GPT Tools
GPT can call functions defined in experience designer. These can be any type of function, e.g. an API call to a scheduling microservice, a function that pulls information from a database etc
HTML & Adaptive Card function calling: GPT can call functions that display HTML or an adaptive card underneath its message, e.g. it could display a “Schedule Appointment” form underneath its message
Safe Mode (Non-Streaming Only)
Source Relevancy Verification: With source relevancy verification enabled, GPT’s answer is blocked if there is no context document relevant to the question. This is a highly effective method of preventing GPT from answering questions unrelated to the customer’s content like “Who is the president?” and is effective at countering prompt injection. Source relevancy is determined concurrently with answer generation so adds no lag to answer generation
Answer-Source Verification: The text of the answer is double-checked against the context documents to verify that the answer contains only information from the context documents. This adds some lag to answer generation
Inline Citation Mode (Non-Streaming Only)
GPT outputs an answer with inline citations. Style is customizable, comes with three default styles that can be set in the genai module’s settings.
Structured Output Mode
Provides access to OpenAI’s new structured output feature, in which the output is guaranteed to be
a JSON object following a supplied schema. Useful for e.g. generating multiple follow-up questions, to categorize unstructured data like OCR text from an insurance card etc
Summarization Mode
Rather than having GPT generate an answer, GPT summarizes the most relevant document
Document Retrieval Mode
Rather than having GPT generate an answer, the most relevant document is displayed. The most relevant document can be determined either with cosine similarity or by having GPT pick from among a selection of documents
Text cleanup option: After a document is selected, GPT will perform minor text cleanup, e.g. removing any HTML that might be present, removing incomplete sentences, formatting lists and headers with markdown etc.
Additional Information on Context Documents
All context documents are listed in the payload, which enables e.g. displaying more than one source
Document relevancy ratings: Each context document in the payload now comes with a relevancy rating (“Relevant”, “Closely Related”, “Somewhat Related”, “Irrelevant”). This is used for safe mode, enables displaying multiple sources while ensuring they are all relevant, and provides an alternative method for selecting the top source.
Miscellaneous
GPT is aware of the date & time if a timezone is set
Additional runtime and token usage statistics in payload
Translation available in orbitaUtil
Artificial streaming available in orbitaUtil
Bug Fixes
Fixed issue where GPT’s response would not be translated if a DialogFlow timeout was hit
