Orbita lets you import and export modules of a project in Experience Manager.

 Export modules of a project

  1. Log into Experience Manager.

  2. Click SEE ALL PROJECTS.

  3. Select the project you want to export and click on the vertical ellipses button against the project and select Export.

  4. From the popup window, you can choose which module to export. The JSON code updates dynamically as you select the modules.

    1. After selecting the necessary modules, click COPY TO CLIPBOARD.

    2. You can download the json code or copy the code to the clipboard using the buttons provided.

The copy to clipboard option will be disabled if the json code size is more than 1mb.

Schemas are not project-specific. If you define a schema, it will be available in any project within the same environment.
You cannot have duplicate schema name within the same environment.

Import modules to a project

Import function adds the modules to the existing modules in the project.

  1. Log into Experience Manager.

  2. Click SEE ALL PROJECTS.

  3. Select the project you want to import and click on the vertical ellipses button against the project and select Import.

  4. Paste the JSON in the space provided or select the json file to be imported.

    Select the modules you want to import.

  5. Select the import method (merge or reset and upload) and click Import.

If you are importing the modules to another environment, you can use the same module’s ID in the imported environment.

If you are importing the modules within the same environment, the following message appears. The system creates new IDs for the imported modules.

Import with merge

If you choose to import a project and merge with the other, you will have 3 options.

  • Keep destination - If the source project and the destination project have the same modules, this option will keep the destination project modules and add the modules that are not present in the destination project.

  • Replace destination - If the source project and the destination project have the same modules, this option will replace the destination project modules with the source project modules and add the modules that are not present in the destination project.

  • Keep both - If the source project and the destination project have the same modules, both data will be kept with the source project modules documents renamed to copyof 'old name'.

Always use the lowercase alphabet without spaces for the keynames.
