Account linking lets your skill communicate with other smart services. For example, Alexa, turn on the lights or Alexa, tune to channel 726 can cause your skill to interact with the home devices through linking. Similarly, you can link your skill to commercial services. For example, Hey Google, order a pepperoni pizza from Pizza Pizzazz may place the order and bill the credit card or PayPal account the user has.

To use linked accounts with Google and Alexa:

  1. From the home page of the Experience Manager, click SEE ALL PROJECTS.

  2. Select a project and choose Edit from the corresponding vertical ellipsis menu on the right. The Edit Project dialog box appears.

  3. In the Select OAuth Provider field, change None to Orbita.

  4. Click Update.

  5. Navigate to the Google deployment and click Publish, or to the Amazon Alexa deployment and click Rebuild.

  6. Re-link your account, and provide a username and password from associated with the user.

    1. For Alexa go to alexa.amazon.com, log in as a user.

    2. Select the skill.

    3. If the skill was already set up, disable the skill, then re-enable it to prompt for a login.

  7. Then re-enable:

  8. Authentication comes from the Orbita server, even though you are logged into Amazon. (This is standard OAuth behavior.)
